The Catskills is the perfect getaway from the craziness of NYC.
Whether you’re planning to ski in the winter, hike and admire the foliage in the fall, or swim and sip local brew in the summer – you’ll find so much to do here! I’m sharing my top recommendations in some of the best towns in the region to plan your ultimate weekend trip.
Hiking, breweries, winter sports, shopping, and more…..
New York City is one of the most thrilling places in the world. But with the nonstop hustle and bustle, the craziness eventually accumulates and New Yorkers seek nature for an escape. Located just a short drive or train ride away the Catskills offers a year-round breath of fresh air.
Having a car in New York City is a luxury and not particularly common. Therefore, I’ve divided my travel recommendations based off having a vehicle versus not. Both are great options to experience what this spectacular area has to offer.
For those without a vehicle, I recommend visiting the city of Hudson. It’s a wonderful place that’s easily accessible by train. For those with a car, the towns of Tannersville, Windham, and Hunter may offer a more diverse experience.
