Fellow Mountain Cafe<\/a>: coffee and breakfast shop located in Hunter<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phoenicia Diner<\/a>: a Catskills staple and absolute must when visiting. It’s more than just a diner with the fluffiest, most delicious pancakes you will eat. Do not skip!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peekamoose Restaurant<\/a>: restored farmhouse serving refined American dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. 25-30 minute drive from Tannnersville and Hunter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prospect at Scribner’s<\/a>: American cuisine with indoor and outdoor dining with a gorgeous view of Hunter Mountain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Babbler’s Restaurant<\/a>: located in the Wylder Hotel. A popular spot amongst locals for flavorful American plates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jessie’s Harvest House<\/a>: casual and comfy dining serving comfort food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are some of the best spots in the Catskills to grab a local brew or glass of vino. Most spots are dog-friendly and have adorable outdoor seating with fire pits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hiking & Winter Activities<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The most popular hike amongst visitors is Kaaterskill Falls<\/strong><\/a>. From the parking area to the trailhead, you’ll have to hug the shoulder of the road and walk along Route 23A; unfortunately there isn’t a better way to get to the starting path. It’s a moderately challenging hike requiring boots or sneakers and ends with gorgeous waterfall views. At the top is a viewing platform which is great spot for rest and pictures with pups \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

If you’re not much of a hiker, then check out Platt<\/strong><\/a>ekill Falls.<\/a> <\/strong>It’s a much shorter trek than Kaaterskill and not as popular, but still offers great waterfall views.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Artist’s Rock, Sunset Rock and Newman’s Ledge via Mary’s Glen Trail<\/a> <\/strong>is a wonderful loop in Catskill State Park. Sunset Rock gives one of the most memorable views of North-South Lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ski at Windham <\/strong><\/a>Mountain<\/a> <\/strong>and <\/strong>Hunter<\/strong> Mountain<\/strong><\/a>. Both are great mountains in the Northeast and many debate which has better trails, so make sure to check out both for comparison!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
